Just curious... what origin theory do you believe in?

Do you believe we come from Monkeys or dirt? What makes you believe in it?
I think we're all children of evolution. It's seem to be the most logical one, with more evidence to back it up.

Besides, how does creationism explain dinosaurs and the lifeforms that came before the dinosaurs?
I believe in both

God (or a God-like being) created the universe and then let it flow on it's own.
Just one question, what type of creationism are we talking about here? The literal one, where everything was created in seven days, and that everyone is only a few thousand years old, or the other kind, where the universe may be older and it is just mankind that is a few thousand years old.
I'm indifferent on the subject, I can't disprove God nor can I prove evolution as the origin of man. Even if I could prove evolution it wouldn't solve the problem of where the universe comes from.
While I do believe in God, I think that creationism itself is a difficult subject if only for the simple fact that Christians themselves cannot decide how creation even happened. Take that dinosaurs, there's certainly nothing in the Bible to support that they even existed but we have tons of proof otherwise that they did.

As for my personal thoughts on creationism, I believe that God is a God of Science, and not magic. Therefore God created the Universe and all that is in it through scientific law (that may include evolution). In my religion we believe that the whole 7 days is more metaphorical than literal. There are times in scripture where a day is not defined as a 24 hours but rather just a marker of time. In that context, especially when viewed from an eternal point of view, a day can be thousands or even millions of years long.
I believe in creationism. Smile
To me, evolution doesn't have enough proof to back it up. If you look at the long line of evolution, it ends in a weird way. But with God creating the earth, he let it develope and it's still growing. And the whole man from dust, to me makes more scense then humans being monkeys.
That's what I think. XD
Ah, yeah, the old evolution/creationism debate, always been a touchy subject. Both sides have good points, and ridiculous points. I've personally have been trying to find a middle road but as you can imagine that's not easy. Pinch

I agree, this is a very touchy subject. Anything to do with God, and religion is very touchy. People normally lose their cool over it and freak out. Hopefully no fights will start here Smile
