Ever had a simple question about the Star Wars Expanded Universe? Well, here's the place to ask them.

For those of you who don't know the purpose, this thread is for one-off questions which don't require an extensive discussion or a thread all to themselves. Just post your question and someone who knows the answer will come along and answer it.
Quick question, is there an official pronounciation for 'Yuuzhan Vong'? I can't seem to figure out how to say it.
I believe the official pronunciation is something akin to "yoo-zon vong".
No, I read an interview (with the creators of the word) that it's supposed to be "yoo-zshon-vong", with the sliding "zsh" sound. Maybe "yooz-shawn-vong" would be a better way to put it.
Ok, here's a question I've wondered about for a long time, where do Humans in the Star Wars galaxy come from? Any specific planet?
There's never been a proper answer on where Humans come from (since Earth doesn't exist in the SW galaxy), but it's generally accepted that Humans come from Coruscant.
how did darth maul get his tattoos or are they part of his species?

There's a glimpse of Sidious giving Maul his Sith tattoos in Star Wars Tales #24 (reprinted in the Star Wars Tales Volume 6 collection). Sidious says that the agony of the Sith tattoos will cleanse your mind.

It should be noted that tattoos are common to Maul's species, the Zabrak.
Who exactly established the Sith? Has it ever been mentioned?
^Originally, it was a group of Jedi who turned to the dark side and fled to then-unknown regions about 7,000 years prior the movies (note this date is conjecture). The modern rule-of-two Sith were founded by Darth Bane 1,000 years prior to the movies. Bane's story is told in the comic Jedi vs Sith, a short story called Bane of the Sith and the Darth Bane trilogy of books: Path of Destruction, Rule of Two, and Dynasty of Evil (to be released in two weeks).
Here's a question I've always wondered, do Luke and Leia know who there mother is? Do they know about Padme?

They don't find out until the Dark Nest trilogy of books, which takes place 35 years after A New Hope. They knew who Padme was, they just didn't know she was their mother.
in revenge of the sith, after they land grievous's ship on coruscant, anakin says, "alright, but you own me one, and not for saving your skin for the tenth time." obi-wan then says, "ninth time! that business on cato nemoidia doesn't, doesn't count."

i'm wondering, what was the business on cato nemoidia? is it covered in any books?
That's covered in the book Labyrinth of Evil. I don't quite remember what the business was but I do remember it being rather humorous.
Is Labyrinth Of Evil worth the reading, like is it a good book?
