In a nutshell, this movie was good. What a ride! I found the plot gave just enough to keep it together, and the sequences of action were non-stop and gripping.
I have one small quibble, but they over used the Lens flare shots too much... like every 5 seconds.
That kinda annoyed me a bit.
I'll vote a 9 also.

as James T. Kirk was "being born" - don't want to SPOILER for those (very few) that haven't seen this EPIC film yet!!!
) and such, at the right times, and thoroughly enjoyed this film...that says a lot about it's "mass appeal" to everyone; Trek-fans and not!!!
to no end - because it's "The BIG Reset Button" that most (hack) writers use to get out of Dead-End plot-lines they write themselves in to - this time (sorry for the pun) it was "natural" and plausible; the "interference" from the future has "affects" on the past and changes things; instead of just "going back to normal" and closing (tidying up) the "Loop-hole Plot-line" they wrote themselves into...refreshing and innovative ploy and resolution.
I hope
