For us in the U.S., the 2008 Christmas special "The Next Doctor" will air on BBC America tonight at 9 PM.

Here's the official description from the BBC site:
Christmas Eve, 1851, and Cybermen stalk the snow of Victorian London. But when the Doctor meets another Doctor, the two must combine forces to stop the rise of the CyberKing.
I found it to be pretty good, in general. David Morrisey was good, nice Victorian Christmas theme, some good set-pieces and dialogue. Got a bit silly toward the end, but not enough to blow it. I gave it a 6.

Still, it's miles better than "Voyage of the Damned" last year. Wink
Well, I give the episode an 7, it was just an all round funny, hugely enjoyable story. With a great villain. Real improvement on "Voyage of the Damned". David Morrissey was excellent as well.

The Cybermen and "the next Doctor" plots were good enough conceptually that they could each have been the main focus rather than fighting for screentime, and what we're left with is two good ideas that aren't done justice to.

There were loads of great moments, including quite a nice ending.
