Iran would have to be stupendously moronic and suicidal to run the Gaza blockade. But then again we ARE talking about apocalyptic mullahs who think an immortal imam is going to come down or something... let's hope both sides restrain themselves.
What surprises me more than anything else is the fact Saudi Arabia of all countries would allow Israel to use their airspace to attack Iran...
Things are defiantly heating up. My guess is the Iranians want to provoke Israel into attacking them, since it'll be good propaganda for the Iranian government (especially in the wake of that incident 3 weeks ago).

No surprise to me, the Saudi Royal family fear (and hate) the Iranians almost as much as Israel does, but they have to walk a very fine line between keeping Iran in check and keeping the street from erupting in violence.
Israel is one of the very few countries of the world that will do what needs to be done now to safeguard themselves... diplomacy be damned. So the Iranians better watch it that they don't provoke the Israelis in the slightest, or else they may repeat that flotilla attack three weeks ago.
The Israelis have the capacity to do no more than delay the Iranian nuclear program a little bit. Granted they'll certainly attack if they feel left with no other option, but this is not Iraq in 1981.

Delay is all they may need but once you bomb the few installations and perhaps damage them you can delay them pretty significantly.
I fear the escalation... Iran isn't going to sit back after getting attacked and I wouldn't put it past the Israelis to throw a nuke at the sites to make sure if conventional bombing proves to be ineffective.
I wonder if Iran would hold Saudi Arabia responsible if Israel attacks?
^I wouldn't be surprised if Iran attacked Saudi Arabia as being a puppet of Israel or something.
Not surprised at either story, I just hope any war that might start doesn't drag the US in...
Not surprised Iran might try to run the Gaza blockade. Who'd win in a fight, the IDF or the Iranian Revolutionary Guard?
Though I'm very surprised the Saudis would even talk to the Israelis, you know the whole Muslim / Jewish religion perspective.

As much as I dislike Israel, the IDF would win hands down.

Any conflict between the Saudis and the Israelis has less to do with the "whole Muslim / Jewish religion perspective" than it does the whole Israel/Palestine issue.
The notion that Jews and Muslims have hated each other for centuries is a misconception. Historically, most major Arab cities had a large Jewish population who were better treated than their European counterparts.
Also in the vaulted Saudi logic, Jews are considered to be above Shi'as.
The enemy of my enemy is my friend. I see no reason there couldn't be a temporary alliance of convenience between Israel and Saudi Arabia (and just goes to show that when the chips are down, nobody lets that religious stuff get in the way of self-interest or survival).

Oh, I guess that makes sense.

I'm surprised Iran hasn't tried to run the blockade years ago.
I guess it just goes to show that Iran is just all talks and no action (well unless they get a nuke).
I've read the official websites of Khamenei and Ahmadinejad, and all they brag about is how Iran will defeat their enemies. I guess it's like Mr. Tight-pants said, Iran is all talk and no action. They're probably too frighten that the IDF might hand them their ass if they really try to take action.
